ADAPTcrm Proves Successful Prescription for Medical Device Manufacturers
IRVINE, Calif. – Feb.19, 2003 – ADAPT Software Applications, Irvine, Calif.-based developer of CRM software, said that its ADAPTcrm software is making strong inroads in the medical device manufacturing marketplace.
According to Brian Dunn, CEO of ADAPT, “Very simply, ADAPTcrm provides the functional advantages most sought by these manufacturers.” He lists these as: Paper reduction; FDA regulated security; Shared document library with audit trail for service and quality assurance; Change control with audit trail traceability; Ability to view data as graphs, with drill down analysis; Custom calculations to facilitate complex analysis; Export of data to spreadsheets or text documents; and a selection of “canned” reports, including Sales, Calls, Key Performance Indicators, Trend Analysis, Financial Analysis, General Information, Return on Investment Analysis, and Sales Forecasting.
Dunn also points out that ADAPTcrm offers the pre- and post production visibility which medical device manufacturers need to leverage sales opportunities. These include opportunity tracking, account qualification from ‘suspect’ to prospect to customer with pre-defined sales milestones and tracking and reporting on specific data, sales opportunity wins and losses and ‘parent’ and ‘child’ accounts.
The medical device market is highly competitive, says Dunn, and ADAPTcrm facilitates all aspects of their marketing efforts, including database marketing, management of professional and public affairs, market research, lead tracking, mass mailings and a host of other marketing related tasks that extend to product-marketing and media partnerships.
ADAPTcrm also manages service issues for medical device manufacturers, including technical support, clinical support, quality control, service and product feedback. Additionally, the software offers product tracking by both serial and lot numbers, escalates service issues and performs service trends analysis thus supporting regulatory compliance reporting. Moreover, ADAPTcrm maintains a knowledge base of technical and clinical support issues and manages maintenance contracts and product warranties.
ADAPT customer, Refractec, a manufacturer of proprietary, leading-edge technology for the restoration of vision, attests to the value of ADAPTcrm in highlighting service issues. "Our business relies on our ability to react quickly to customer service requests. Whether our customers are requesting product information or calling to discuss a product complaint, ADAPTcrm’s service features facilitate the efficient processing of these service requests by identifying the nature and severity as well as a documented history and description of the known resolution. This built-in functionality gives us exceptional visibility of customer needs and the ability to respond to our physician customers,” notes Refractec Vice President of Marketing, Lauren Kanner.
“ ADAPTcrm offers features and benefits for just about any customer-centric business,” says Dunn. “However, of all the CRM software packages on the market, we believe ADAPTcrm comes closest to fulfilling all the stringent requirements of medical device manufacturers.”
